Yellow Jacket - Red Dun

Foaled about 1908. The Waggoners bought him in 1916 or 1917 and gave him to Lee Bivins. Yellow Jacket was a noted match racer. Died 1934. One of the most influential Quarter Horse sires in the industry, even today. Most notable sons, Cowboy P-12, Blackburn, Strait Horse. Some of the most noted tracing to him, King P-234, Hired Hand, Bert, Ed Echols, Texas Blue Bonnet, Gray Hancock, Baldy Joe, Leo Hancock Hayes, Tallyman, Mr Blackburn 40, Fortys Last Chance, Easter King, Hollywood Jac 86, Royal Blue Boon, etc... Royal King was line bred 3 times to Yellow Jacket, 18.75% of his blood, and one of King P-234s most prolific producing offspring of cow horses. By crossing Beaver Creek and Poco Bueno to Blackburn mares, Waggoner line bred Yellow Jacket and produced many of their most exceptional and prolific offspring, e.g. Poco Pine, Poco Tivio, Poco Lena. In turn the majority of Doc Bars most noted offspring were out of these line bred Yellow Jacket mares, including Dry Doc, Doc Olena, Docs Lynx, Boon Bar, Cal Bar,Doc Tari etc... Had it not been for Yellow Jacket, many of todays top performers, producers and Quarter Horse Dynasties would not exist. One of the most, if not the most underrated stallions of the QH industry. 9 Generation Coefficient of Inbreeding: 12.9299163818359% - HZ - 4.14%.
